Hughes vanished from San Diego, California, where he resided and was employed by Taco Bell. He had no history of mental instability, nor was it known that he had ever run away.
Disappearance
Crishtian Hughes’ mother dropped him off at San Diego International Airport on the 4th of February, 2013, so that he may fly to San Francisco to see his pals.
Hughes called his mother to inform her that he would be home by 2:30 p.m. on February 7.
Hughes received $70 in cash from his aunt during a visit to her San Francisco residence on February 5, 2013.
Hughes had lunch with a female friend on February 6, 2013. He vanished from his friends’ house on the 900 block of Capitol Avenue in San Diego, California, at approximately 12:30 a.m.
On February 7, 2013, around 10:00 AM, his friends began to awaken, but Crishtian Hughes was nowhere to be found. According to reports, he left his friend’s apartment in the wee hours of the morning to catch his flight home.
Nobody ever again saw or heard from Crishtian Hughes. He abruptly abandoned his friends, who were to drive him to the airport.
Investigation of Case
On February 7, 2013, at 1:18 a.m., Hughes’s cell phone sent its final text message. He was scheduled to board a Virgin America flight later that day, but he never arrived.
On April 17, 2014, Crishtian Hughes was reportedly spotted on Haight Street in San Francisco, California. A witness described the man as having curly hair and extensive tattoos on his arms. His companion was a blonde woman.
